This course provides an introduction to photographing food and drinks. You may want to learn this to better capture and share your culinary skills with friends, family and followers or for your hospitality business needs. Or you might simply enjoy learning something new to enhance your photography skills.

  • Use your camera for food and drink photography
  • Establish a simple food and drink photography set up at home
  • Understand the equipment needed and how to use it for more advanced studio set up
  • Employ some of the industry tricks and techniques to best present food and drinks

  • Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO, Depth of Field, White Balance, Focus
  • Working with light
    • Natural and artificial, direction, shadows, colour and contrast 
  • Story and Composition
    • Composition 'rules', Hero and supporting elements, Static and dynamic images
  • Food Styling
    • How to make foods and drink look great
    • Food styling toolkit
